Sales!

I'm a bit behind on letting you know about the black friday specials going on, and I apologize! After a late night last night waiting in line for 2 hours to check out at Toys R Us, and dealing with two cranky boys today (after a funky schedule yesterday) plus doing the baking for our Thanksgiving celebration tomorrow....blogging got forgotten!

Anyways....my store is 40% through the weekend....which is awesome for you! And my good friend De of Flower Scraps is having a big sale and she also has an AMAZING deal on a CU Christmas Grab Bag if you need christmas goodies, you'll want it for sure!

NSR: Get Free Stuff

This is a non-scrapbooking related post.....I hope you find it helpful!

As the holiday's approach, my bank account and credit cards quiver in fear! They get used and abused as I'm shopping for all of the people on my lists. This year, I am actually saving a ton of money, by having done a little work throughout the rest of the year. Here are some of my tips, and if you start now, you'll be feeling much better by next year too!

Disney Movie Rewards: Most Disney movies you purchase come with a little sheet inside that contains a code. Enter this code into your DMR account to earn points - then redeem your points for some great rewards! This year my older son will be getting a Little Einsteins DVD and the baby will get a Baby Einsteins DVD both cost me nothing since I was able to purchase them using my points. Additionally, a special offer is sent out around your birthday allowing you to get a free DVD or BluRay (from a selected list of options) for just the cost of shipping. If you sign up to get their newsletter, you'll be able to earn a bonus 5 points a month using the code sent out in the email. The final great feature about this program is all the deals you get for being a member. Coupons sent out for $5-$10 off the purchase of Disney movies (I got an $8 off Cars 2 coupon when it was release this month). If you're Disney fans, this is a great program!

Pampers and Huggies Gifts Programs: If you have a child in diapers, and are brand loyal to either of these companies, sign up for their rewards program. Every box or bag of diapers you buy has a code inside, which (much like the disney program) you enter on their web site and can redeem for great prizes. The baby will be getting a set of Magnetic toy boats for the bath tub (retail value $14.99) FREE after redeeming some points from Pampers.

Swagbucks: I'm sure you've heard about Swagbucks, but if you haven't you're missing out. Simply use their search engine, participate in daily polls, complete special offers and keep your eye on their Facebook page and Blog for codes to earn "Swagbucks" these bucks can be redeemed for prizes like Amazon.com gift cards, movies, games etc. I've been saving up my amazon cards and was able to buy a big ticket item for my husband for Christmas for very little out of pocket cost. If you coupon at all, you can print your coupons through Swagbucks to earn additional points too!

Review: Using these four different sites, I was able to get 2 DVDs, a set of toy boats and over $40 in gift cards to amazon.com all FREE.

Do you have any other great rewards programs to share? If so, leave them in the comment section!

Layouts & Some CT work....

I've done some scrapping in the past month or so, and I don't believe I've shared it with you (bad CT member, bad!) I've slowly been trying to scrap some of my newest little man's life....it's so much easier to journal about these precious moments when they are still fresh in my mind. So, here are some layouts for you to enjoy this Saturday! If I didn't add anything extra, they should be linked to their additional credits. :D

I'm hoping to spend some time this weekend doing some more scrapping or working on photo-gifts for Christmas! The baby (and his daddy) is sick and cuddly, and I've gotten pretty good at scrapping one-handed! So as long as big brother behaves, I'll be hiding out in my office/craft room this weekend!

Pinterest for the Holidays....

With Thanksgiving, and Christmas Decorating, only a week away, I have been getting tons of ideas for holiday fun on Pinterest (if you don't have an account, leave a comment with your email address and I'll invite you!). I thought I would share a few of the inspiring projects today, if I actually complete them, perhaps I'll share the results as well!

Baby's First Christmas Ornament (I bought the ornament today, will wait for daddy to be home to do it so he can wash the hands while I finish it up)

Christmas Coal (My older son will be getting some of this in his stocking, or perhaps the real deal with a note from Santa that says something like "You haven't been the nicest boy this year, so I am leaving you some coal. If you don't improve your behavior, you will only get coal next year")

Window Decorations - We have windows on either side of our fireplace. I bought red and silver ornaments to create a similar look with.

And, what is the holiday season without cute photos? I think I might try a few of these ideas this winter....

Have you found any fun holiday craft projects? Feel free to share in the comments!

Heart Broken

Not everything we need to scrap is upbeat and happy, there are hardships we all face and these memories should be remembered as well. Heart Broken is the perfect kit to scrap some of those harder moments. The idea for this kit came about when my heart was shattered earlier this year and the realization of a need for a kit themed this way hit me when a dear friend shared she was facing the devastation and heartbreak of divorce after nearly 11 years of marriage. The kit includes many jounaling elements, broken bits, word bits, and of course, broken hearts. Whether you are scrapping something as devastating as divorce or you want to create a layout of your child's first broken heart, this kit is the one you need.

While the kit was designed to scrap some of the less fun things, it is versatile enough to scrap many other events as well. I have included non-broken hearts, two unique alphas and plenty of elements to allow you to scrap the happier times as well.

Check it out:

The Skribblers had fun with this kit, you can see just how versatile it is!
