Project 365 Alternatives

So, early this year the big hype was over Project 365. I started this project all gung-ho, and made it about 6 months before losing interest, falling behind on layouts and generally just being lazy about it. I know this about myself, I can't always stick to these resolutions/projects and a daily thing is too much for me. So, as 2009 draws to a close, I am starting to think ahead - I would really like to do a better job of capturing our daily lives - just not on a daily basis! So, I am looking for alternative ideas. I really like the Monthly Roundup idea and already do a lot of the "part 2" stuff. I actually try to journal in my planner a few times a week - sometimes just what I ate for dinner or whatnot, but a little something - but I like the idea of writing a journal entry summing up my month.

What other projects/programs/ideas are out there? What do you do? How do you capture your daily life in a way that you can look back to see what has changed, how you've grown and what little things are a big part of your life? Share!

  1. I have the same problem as you - I got to June with my LOs... I kept doing the photos and they are up-to-date but not the LOs. So next year I'll keep doing the photos but do only one LO a week with the 7 photos in it...

  2. My SIL just posted one photo per day in an album on her blog called 365. She posted one pic with a little blurb about it and called it good. She has kept up with it really well, but I think I would have a hard time making sure I had a picture for each day. Good luck!
